Air artists challenge the very structures by which we live, contributing to lasting change through work with communities, scientists, urban planners, researchers, activists, academics and more. With community at the heart of all we do, our work lives in five core areas: residencies, talks, education, exhibitions and happenings.
Air champions artists as part of the solution, by seeding artists within climate organizations to inspire expanded ways of thinking, and to create engaging creative programming that shares knowledge and advocates for change.
From 2017 through 2021, Air worked in deep collaboration with Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), a private non-profit in the Arts District of Los Angeles dedicated to building an inclusive green economy. We are now evolving, recognizing our impact can be even greater by expanding to work simultaneously with multiple organizations.
